Transport planning activity class - overview

 

Introduction

This section provides information, processes and procedures to assist Approved Organisations and the NZTA in developing activities for inclusion in Regional Land Transport Plans Plans describe the tactics to give effect to a strategy. They are specific in content, action oriented and outputs focussed, resulting in a tangible set of activities to be delivered within a clear timeframe. Effective transport planning ensures an integrated approach to planning and creation of robust future work programmes to achieve priority outcomes and value for money Selecting the right things to do, implementing them in the right way, at the right time and for the right price. .

 

Work categories
 

The activity class consists of guidelines for the following work categories:

  • Work category 001 – Regional land transport planning management
  • Work category 002 - Transport model development.

    * activity class 12 – local road improvements
    * activity class 13 – state highways improvements
