Advise applicant with reasons

Introduction

Where a decision is made to decline an application for funding assistance, the appropriate NZTA representative advises the applicant of the decision and the reasons for it as quickly as possible, subject to any communications requirements of the decision maker.

In most cases, the initial communication of the decision should be by phone followed up by a written confirmation.

For significant decisions, the decision maker may require a communications plan to be developed and implemented to ensure the decision and the reasons for it are conveyed to the right people.
