Assess and prioritise

Introduction

Any unlisted activity proposed to be added to the National Land Transport Programme Interrelated and complementary combination of activities that, when delivered in a coordinated manner, produce synergies – can span more than one work category and more than one activity class, e.g. a programme could include a road improvement and public transport improvement activities. (NLTP A National Land Transport Programme Interrelated and complementary combination of activities that, when delivered in a coordinated manner, produce synergies – can span more than one work category and more than one activity class, e.g. a programme could include a road improvement and public transport improvement activities. adopted by the NZTA under section 19 of the LTMA, as from time to time amended or varied ) must be assessed and prioritised by the Approved Organisations (AOs) or the NZTA (State Highways) against the NZTA’s Assessment Framework.  A decision is then made by the proposer as to whether to proceed with the application based on its priority.

 

Other programme variations, e.g. major scope changes, may require assessment, possibly incremental assessment, before they are submitted for approval.

 

Applicant can have early discussions with NZTA representatives to get an idea of funding likelihood and potential priority within the Investment Framework.
