Introduction |
The regional Transport Agency(Planning & Investment) representative inspects the damage with the Approved Organisation (AOs) or the Transport Agency(State Highways), if he decides it is required and decides whether it is eligible for emergency works funding.
If eligible as emergency works, the regional Transport Agency(Planning & Investment) representative agrees the scope of the work and estimated costs of repairs and reinstatement. The inspection should be made within 4 weeks of the event unless there are extraordinary circumstances.
The cost of the proposed reinstatement must be checked against the Transport Agency’s policy on uneconomic roading facilities.
Alternatively, the regional Transport Agency(planning & investment) representative may decide forgo inspection of the damage and rely instead on photographs and reports provided by an Approved Organisation or by Transport Agency(state highways). |
