Regional Public Transport Plan (RPTP)

Introduction

The RPTP A plan which specifies how the regional council intends to give effect to the public transport service components of the regional land transport plan that applies to the region. As of June 2013, the contents and management of the plan is defined by Part 5 of the Land Transport Management Act 2003. is a statutory document, prepared by the Regional Council every 3 years, or, in the case of Auckland, by Auckland Transport. The RPTP specifies how the council will give effect to the public transport component of the RLTP A regional land transport plan, prepared under Part 2 of the LTMA, as from time to time amended or varied. and sets the direction for public transport in the region for the next ten years. The RPTP must be prepared in consultation with the public and territorial authorities.
