Regional Land Transport Plan (RLTP)

Introduction

The RLTP A regional land transport plan, prepared under Part 2 of the LTMA, as from time to time amended or varied. is a statutory document, prepared for the Regional Council every 6 years by the Regional Transport Committee, or, in the case of Auckland, by Auckland Transport. It outlines transport packages expected to be funded over the next six years, and the priorities for the region for the ten years from the start of the RLTP.

The Council is required to consult the community on its draft RLTP A regional land transport plan, prepared under Part 2 of the LTMA, as from time to time amended or varied. and submitters have the opportunity be heard at a public hearing on the RLTP.

The form and content of regional land transport plans is defined in section 16 of LTMA The Land Transport Management Act 2003, as amended from time to time. .
