Sub-divisional roads

 

Introduction

The construction of sub-divisional roads is not eligible for funding assistance, which includes second coat sealing.

 

Expenditure on formed or unformed dedicated roads giving access to the sub-divisional roading is eligible for funding assistance. Supplementary funding should be considered in these cases.

 

This page relates to the 2012-15 NLTP A National Land Transport Programme Interrelated and complementary combination of activities that, when delivered in a coordinated manner, produce synergies – can span more than one work category and more than one activity class, e.g. a programme could include a road improvement and public transport improvement activities. adopted by the NZTA under section 19 of the LTMA, as from time to time amended or varied only.

Maintenance and renewal

The maintenance and renewal of sub-divisional roads is eligible for funding assistance after their dedication to the Approved Organisation.

 

Standards

Sub-divisional roads normally are dedicated to Approved Organisations and become part of the local roading network. Networks must be planned, constructed, operated and maintained in accordance with the technical documents in the NZTA’s Register of Network Standards and Guidelines and linked Register Process Manual.
