Work category 911: Management of the funding allocation system
Introduction

This section sets out the guidance on activities for managing the funding allocation and programme management of the NLTP A National Land Transport Programme Interrelated and complementary combination of activities that, when delivered in a coordinated manner, produce synergies – can span more than one work category and more than one activity class, e.g. a programme could include a road improvement and public transport improvement activities. adopted by the NZTA under section 19 of the LTMA, as from time to time amended or varied .
As stated in Section 19c of the LTMA, these activities are required to be shown in the NLTP A National Land Transport Programme Interrelated and complementary combination of activities that, when delivered in a coordinated manner, produce synergies – can span more than one work category and more than one activity class, e.g. a programme could include a road improvement and public transport improvement activities. adopted by the NZTA under section 19 of the LTMA, as from time to time amended or varied .

Examples of activities

Examples of qualifying activities include:
- management of the National Land Transport Fund (NLTF The fund established under section 10 of the LTMA )
- development and management of the NLTP A National Land Transport Programme Interrelated and complementary combination of activities that, when delivered in a coordinated manner, produce synergies – can span more than one work category and more than one activity class, e.g. a programme could include a road improvement and public transport improvement activities. adopted by the NZTA under section 19 of the LTMA, as from time to time amended or varied
- management of the allocation of funds and expenditure through the NLTP A National Land Transport Programme Interrelated and complementary combination of activities that, when delivered in a coordinated manner, produce synergies – can span more than one work category and more than one activity class, e.g. a programme could include a road improvement and public transport improvement activities. adopted by the NZTA under section 19 of the LTMA, as from time to time amended or varied
- assessment of strategies, packages and activities for funding approval
- management of recommendations on police activities
- management of procurement procedures, policies and guidelines
- assistance and advice to approved organisations
- management of performance agreements with approved organisations and with the state highway operational unit of the Transport Agency
- research to support the Transport Agency’s activities
- management of the NZTA-delivered activities funded through the NLTP A National Land Transport Programme Interrelated and complementary combination of activities that, when delivered in a coordinated manner, produce synergies – can span more than one work category and more than one activity class, e.g. a programme could include a road improvement and public transport improvement activities. adopted by the NZTA under section 19 of the LTMA, as from time to time amended or varied .

Funding
|
Management of the funding allocation system is a Transport Agency nationally delivered set of activities, funded 100% from the National Land Transport Fund.
